The Male Fertility test is a rapid diagnostic test of sperm concentration in semen. Sperm count is widely recognised as the major indicator of the fertility in men. This is a one test kit, measuring if the sperm count is >5 million or 20 million.
The World Health Organisation has defined a man's fertility on the basis of the concentration of sperm in semen with the cut off point being set at 20 million sperm per mL of sperm. The Male Fertility test kits is a unique home test that will tell you if a man's sperm concentration is greater or less than the WHO cut off point. A positive result is going to be good news although its not proof of fertility. A negative result suggests then man should see his doctor, as your sperm count is low.
Simple and discreet;
1) First collect a semen sample. The semen sample may be collected by masturbation.
If your sperm count is equal to or greater than 20 million per mL. However, if the tests is less than this or negative then we recommend you consult your doctor with a view to having a full semen analysis performed.
Infertility
Infertility is not just a female problem.
There is some evidence that fertility is declining in men but the reasons are not well understood. Male infertility is thought to account for about a third of couples' problems conceiving.
Sadly, many men resist being tested and in some cases this means that the woman can go through years of unnecessary treatment.
Male fertility screening is done by collecting a fresh sample of semen and taking it to a laboratory for evaluation after referral by the GP.
However there are simple home testing kits which are accurate in testing quantity of sperm however they may not test for motility and quality which means even if this test is positive, further assessment may be required although it is a good starting point.
